About
About my background - How 2 Dogs and a Laptop Came to Be
My background is diverse and passion driven.
Early in life, I figured out a way to bring my passions together through teaching. In high school and college, I taught swimming. After college and beyond, I taught rowing. As a full-time career, I taught math and worked with students with special needs. The adoption of my two dogs, Edie and Elliot, inspired new passions for obedience training and dog therapy work with children and seniors.
I have found a wonderful support system in a group of entrepreneurial web developers from diverse backgrounds. We all support each other along the route to furthering our education in web development and design. I am a lifelong learner who is constantly challenging myself to learn new things and become better in the coding and development skills I already have.
With this business, one of my goals, is to help shelter dogs become more adoptable through obedience training before going to their forever home. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to organizations who promote this goal.
I look forward to working with you.

Mission
I help mission-driven individuals and small businesses grow their communities by designing and developing purposeful websites that build connections & foster community around a cause.
Values
Community & Trust – Building relationships is the reason I do what I do. In order to have a working relationship, we need to have a level of trust that is fostered through our work together. I listen to your concerns, dreams, and hopes for your business and translate that into a personalized solution for your website. My clients are my people and I will be the biggest cheerleader of your business.
Awareness & Education – As a former teacher it is my job to educate you on the web design and development process and what that means for your business. Together we will create a website that will bring awareness to your cause and help to spread your mission throughout your community.
Kind Design Practices – I use kind design practices to design and develop all of the websites that I create. Designing websites from a place of kindness means that your website will be created to be as accessible and as inclusive as possible which helps to foster positive user experiences with your website and with your business.
