Website Accessibility

Accessible Websites to Empower Inclusion and Equality Online

Website accessibility highlights the importance of designing and developing websites that are inclusive and barrier-free, enabling people with disabilities to access and interact with the content effectively.

On March 18th, the Department of Justice (DOJ) issued an opinion on ADA Compliance related to websites. While it’s not the first time that ADA Compliance for websites has been discussed, it is the first time an official stance has been made about ADA Compliance for business websites.

Since the DOJ has officially taken the stance that business websites should meet specific accessibility standards, 2 Dogs and a Laptop believes that the issue of having an accessible website is now more important than ever.

What Does This Mean for your Business's Website?

U.S. Government Accessibility Incentive

Tax Credit for Ada Compliance

The U.S. government promotes and supports accessibility practices that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by incentivizing the efforts made and sustained with a tax credit of up to $5,000 per year.

If your business spends $490 on the accessWidget from accessiBe, you can receive $120 in credit, which means you would only be paying $370 a year to ensure that your website is accessible and ADA compliant.
